Burdick Station is home to three steam turbine-generators.  Shown to the left is unit 3 turbine generator.   Unit 3 was placed into service in 1972 and has a rated full load capacity of 54 megawatts.  Unit 3 has an operating steam pressure of 1,250 PSI at 950 degrees Fahrenheit.
Shown are the "front standard" controls for unit 3 turbine.
Unit 3 condenser sets under the turbine. The condenser condenses steam after it has been passed through the turbine.  used by the turbine back to water so that the water can be reused to make steam again. The water that cools the steam is also re-used.
