GIUD Construction of Gas Combustion Turbines

	Turbine and Generators Delivered For Grand Island Utilities Department Customers Shown to the left are two General Electric generators that were delivered to the Grand Island Utilities Department on April 15, 2002.
Date - 4-15-02 (above)
	Each 40 megawatt generator was received by rail at the Platte Generating Station, and where transported by truck and installed at the C. W. Burdick Station. Two turbines, one for each generator were delivered separately mated to their prospective generators.
Date - 4-19-02 (Above and below)
	The turbine and generators were carefully moved approximately five miles form Platte Generating Station to Burdick Station on large load transport vehicles via city streets.
